Lake Nakuru National Park is one of Kenya’s two premium parks and is a birds lover’s haven. It is surrounded by Lake Nakuru and located in the central rift conservation area in the southern rift valley region in Kenya.  The park is known to host over 400 bird species including the globally threatened species. It goes down the books of history as the first rhino sanctuary and hosts one of the world’s highest concentrations of black rhinos.

Situated just about 164 kilometers from Nairobi, this park is only two hour’s drive from Kenya’s capital. It is dominated by a gentle undulating terrain with open woodlands and bushes typical of the dry rift valley vegetation.
